As the temperature grows colder, The Roosevelt News spoke with sophomore couple Ava Craft and Carter Kriefall for a heartwarming glimpse into their relationship

How long have you guys been together?

A: 8 months.

C: 8 months, yeah.

How and when did you first meet?

C: Freshman year we had physics together, and I guess we just started talking in that class and then we started texting and starting conversations.

What were your first impressions of each other?

A: Do you want to go first?

C: Yeah, sure. I saw Ava working on class work and we made eye contact across the room a couple times. That might sound a little weird but that kind of gave me the confidence to actually start talking to her. I know she’s really smart, and I like that.

A: I thought he was attractive but I never did anything, and then he just texted me.

What was your first date?

C: We went to the movies together.

What movie?

C: What was it?

A: It was the new Spiderman.

C: The new Spiderman, it was on Valentine’s day.

What’s your favorite thing about each other?

C: I like how we both play baseball, or I guess softball too, and we both relate to getting good grades in school.

A: I like your humor and I always feel comfortable around you.

C: Yeah, same … here.

What do you admire most about each other?

C: I admire you, you’re very loving towards me and towards your family.

A: And my cats.

C: And your cats, of course.

A: I admire that you want to spend time with me and that you always make time to hang out with me.

What makes you a good couple?

A: Communication.

C: I think yeah, communication. We communicate very well, and we always get through any conflicts that happen and we always remember why we started dating.

Is there anything else you want to add?

C: She’s good-looking, too.

A: Oh thanks.
