Although Seattle has a reputation for soggy autumns and rainy winters, there are still many events and activities to partake in amidst our gloomy weather.
If you’re seeking some local vendors for your wintertime endeavors, here are some options.
On Nov. 18, there is the Gobble Up food fair at Magnuson Park Hangar 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the Columbia City Night Market, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Both events will be highlighting chefs, artisans, and craftspeople from the Pacific Northwest, and the latter will happen again on Dec. 16. Additionally, Pike Place Market will be hosting their 28th annual holiday-themed “Magic in the Market” on Nov. 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
If a high-key night out is more your style here are some artists hitting the Seattle music scene in the coming months. This coming Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8:00 p.m., Travis Scott will be at Climate Pledge Arena, as part of his Circus Maximus Tour. The Barbie movie re-popularized the band AQUA, who will be performing at The Paramount on Nov. 12 at 8:00 p.m. Another band coming to Climate Pledge Arena, on Nov. 28 at 7:00 p.m., is Aerosmith.
If you are in need of a reason to kick off the holiday season, here are some events to look forward to. From Nov. 24–Dec. 3, Seattle Center will be hosting Winterfest, which will include a Christmas Market, World Bazaar, Winter Village, and holiday-themed entertainment, on the Armory Stage. A smaller scale wintertime experience is the Greenlake Pathway of Lights, also known as the Greenlake Luminaria Walk, on the evening of Dec. 9. There is also Snowflake Lane in Bellevue from Nov. 24 – Dec. 24, featuring nightly holiday parades–starting at 7:00 p.m.–with floats, live music, and even falling snow.
