Arts & Culture John Simmons, Senior March 17, 2014January 18, 2016 Staff Reporters For his senior project, John Simmons chose to train his extremely energetic dog at agility classes. Dog agility involves directing your canine through a series of obstacles such as tunnels, stairs, and bridges. Simmons began by gathering resources, including the books Dog Agility and Don’t Shoot the Dog, and by joining classes at the dog training center Fourpaw. Through two months of training his dog made significant progress, and was able to master many of the obstacles available at Fourpaw. John had a great time training his dog and is excited to do further training and find our more practical applications for his efforts.
