Seattle women march in solidarity

In response to the inauguration, at least 175,000 people flooded the streets this Saturday for a  3 mile march from Judkins Park to Downtown Seattle. Hundreds wore “pink pussy hats” and carried signs that supported womens rights, equality, and social justice. At the same time, sister marches occured around the world. The Seattle march was well attended, and it was the third biggest womens march in the nation, with almost 25 percent per capita. This nationwide protest broke records as an estimated 2.9 million people marched in solidarity.
