They have an astounding array of scrumptious holiday food items that range from dark chocolate mini stars to Pumpkin Cheesecake. The most commonly liked food is a TJ specialty during the holiday season called Jingle Jangle. Filled with a mix of various different snacks, including milk chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter cups, dark chocolate covered Joe-Joe’s pieces, and candy-coated milk and dark chocolate gems. A senior named Kate Williams reports that she “liked it for the most part, but wasn’t a fan of the dark chocolate, ruling out about half the tin.” Other parts of the treat she loved, “the chocolate covered pretzels and the mini peanut butter cups were so good.”
Another iconic Trader Joe’s holiday item is the boxes of Mini Gingerbread Men. This ginger shortbread snack is coated with white fudge icing and melts right in your mouth. Sydney Batluck, a junior this year, raves about them. “I brought them as a little snack day thing for a club with around six other people and at least two or three of them took a picture of the box to go buy them because they really liked them,” she explains. Batluck loves getting these tasty desserts when the holiday season rolls around.
Besides these two spectacular holiday goodies, there are countless others. Some of the most popular ones include the Bûche de Noël Ice Cream Cake, Organic Cold Pressed Apple Cider, “Sipping Chocolate”, and Cinnamon Roll Wreath. The Bûche de Noël Ice Cream Cake is a Yule Log cake but made with custard ice cream, fudge, meringue, and chocolate cake chunks, instead of just cake and icing. Yum! The Cold Pressed Apple Cider is a refreshingly cool apple juice beverage with a perfect amount of spice to fill you up with seasons greetings. TJ’s “Sipping Chocolate” is a rich European style hot cocoa that is made by putting a chocolate cube into hot milk or tea, along with mini marshmallows that come along with the pack. And finally, the Cinnamon Roll Wreath is a large wreath-shaped cinnamon pastry with vanilla icing drizzled on top.
